whats my price

whats my price

A Poem by Marvin

you give me light
still you cast a shadow dark
in the dark where dogs bark
a promise of dawn
in the most faint spark
a promise of light
still I float in the darkest night

how at times am held tight
folded in white
and still something doesn't feel right
for a dark speck in the face of white
is s dominant as dirt

am out in the open
where you make me float
a place hot, a place cold
making me think of what I am not
such an expensive price to be bought
what is my price?
