Come Back To Me

Come Back To Me

A Poem by Maskedthoughts
"

A love that was lost but needs to be found again

"

I took a step, I took a chance

I opened the seams of my heart

And bared it for the world to see

I sewed it to my wrist, skipping my sleeve

I’m on the edge, my hair blowing around me

I did the biggest thing I feared

But wanted so bad

I got rid of the question “what if?”

I made myself vulnerable

But for you it’s worth it,

I will take the pain

Or embrace the joy

As long as I am released from the labyrinth of wondering what could have been

I reached out to you

Now I lay here frozen, hand outstretched to you

Awaiting your response, the words, the actions

That will make me the happiest girl on the planet

Or will shatter my soul

Baby, please come back to me

For without you there is a void in my heart

Without you a part of me ceases to be

Baby, Baby, come back to me.

...I sewed it to my wrist, skipping my sleeve...
We make ourselves so vulnerable, to have our feelings known, and yet without taking the risk, nothing will ever become. The biggest fear sometimes, is not that feelings aren't returned, but that we could lose someone completely, just by loving them...
