I want to be such a world's part...

the world is becomin so topsy-turvy... there's so much fear, suspicion, animosity n violence... d sanctity of d world is at stake!

Where the bright rays of sun

Are glisening on the water;

Where there is happiness and fun

And sources of laughter; 

Where there's innocence dwelling in every heart,

I want to be such a world's part...

Where there are no dreadful dreams 

of pain, suffering and horror;

And no terrible screams 

of disasters and terror;

Where there's peace residing in every heart,

I want to be such a world's part...

Where all can lead a fearless life

And die a peaceful death;

Where all have trust and no strife

And can gaily taste the life's breath;

Where there's no fear concealed in any heart,

I want to be such a world's part...

I'm a pessimist, so this kind of made me gag, but I'll attempt to ignore that and move on.

Nope, I can't do it. Reading this entire thing, all I can think is 'yeah right' or 'that'll never happen'. I could list for days why it's impossible, but that's not the point of fantasizing, is it? No one can blame you for wanting to be a part of this world, and if nothing else, you do a good job of describing what you want.

By the way, 'glistening' has a 't' in it.

Brilliant is word to explain it
We all are living in a selfish and non helping and violent kind of world
By this I remember a song "The world stands in need of liberation"
the theme of your poem is kinda similar to this
But the best thing I found in this poem is that it have a great rhyme scheme (the one which I love and use the most) and it flowed excellently

I think of Mother Theresa when I reflect on your sentiments. She took reality and faced it with actions of love and compassion. To dream of a better world is a start, making a difference is love used as a verb. Nice poem.
