plastic windmills

plastic windmills

A Poem by Mavis Bard

Candycane stickers flicker on and off

Rotating with a riot

Headstrong but belly out

No more leases on life

No more bad dreams
No more transient fats

Waiting patiently for the All American Dream

Pretty kitty baby let's do it now

Open your bottle of champagne

We now control the ladder

No more halfway homes

No more labor

No more contraceptives

We are the progeny of the American Dream

You better hold your reins until you die

Mount your toys on a mantle held high

Above the world for all to see

And then they'll strip you of your sovereignty

You got a plastic windmill from your white picket fence

And nothing more with no recompense

Just a broken girl with a broken seam

All in behalf of a broken dream

it has gotta to be one of my favorite things that you have written. it just makes you smile, makes you feel good. it's innocent, yet mature; simple, but profound. plus it tastes good.

Very, very good.

I LOVE THE ALLITERATION, towards the begining, its wonderful.

I like the waythis flows off that tongue and i LOVE the way the lines bleed into each other as you read them, its like one big moving beast, only, its not that big, and not that beastly:|
