Neophyte

Neophyte

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder

Today I was called a neophyte;
How lucky I am to be alive!
So young, I’m born again;
So young, I suckle,
S**t my diapers and cry.
Soon I’ll be a boy, a teen,
Fleet of foot and spry;
Wet behind the ears
At my forty years,
And I didn’t even have to try!

I have to look dictionary for neophyte meaning. I experienced myself everyday with something new. Yes sometimes we forget we were young and this can pull back our memories and experience. Again like how you use humor also flow is nice.
