Monarchs forever united

Monarchs forever united

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder

How shall I tenderize eyes that already be so tender, they swallow up my own? Giving chase to those stars twinkling within; getting lost in playing connect the dots; gathering up the diamonds she's hidden, in a scavenger hunt, for my queen as I re-emerge from the throne of her soul, unaware of how long or where I've been. Dizzied, I'm stoned from the trip beyond her stars; ruby, emerald, and sapphire, I offer her. I see she's tripped on my own, spilling the riches of my heart, on her way out. Our treasuries are now shared, they can never be divided. We are monarchs forever united.
