A Little Faith

A Little Faith

A Poem by Michael (Letters and Lifelines)

When all this fades away...
Will it bring an end to all our fear?
Will all our guilt just disappear?
I'll try to smile to stop your tears...
A simple touch to fix our bones...
A little glimpse of the unknown.
Like angels singing to proclaim...
Life, itself, will never be the same.

And I promise...
I'll give you everything...
When the time is right.
And I can heal your broken wings...
If you let me inside.
And I never gave you all those things...
That you thought would help.
Because I know you better...
Than you know yourself.

I tried to hold your hand...
As the light of morning came.
You were lost in all your pain...
Let it wash away with holy rain.
Because the time has now begun.
When every hurt becomes undone.
It's like God coming down to say...
It doesn't have to be this way.

And I promise...
I'll give you everything...
When the time is right.
And I can heal your broken wings...
If you let me inside.
And I never gave you all those things...
That you thought would help.
Because I know you better...
Than you know yourself.

Your smile doesn't show it,
But something is wrong...
You're crying inside.
I could tell all along...
I know that you're scared,
And you think you're alone...
But I've been by your side.
I think that you've known...
And I'm sorry you didn't hear me,
But I'm telling you now...
I heard every word,
When you were crying out loud...
Just find a little faith,
And then you can start...
To hear the sound of my voice,
When I speak to your heart.

Your smile doesn't show it,
But something is wrong...
You're crying inside.
I could tell all along...

Can you hear me?

I know that you're scared,
And you think you're alone...
But I've been by your side.
I think that you've known...

Did you know?

And I'm sorry you didn't hear me,
But I'm telling you now...
I heard every word,
When you were crying out loud...

Does it help you now?

Just find a little faith,
And then you can start...
To hear the sound of my voice,
When I speak to your heart.

Are you still waiting now?

A amazing poem my friend. I like the way you led to the good ending. Hard to brake-down walls of safety. If we do. We must be kind and gentle. Than you for the outstanding poetry.
