The rise

The rise

A Poem by Anthony (aka Mr.e)
"

Releasing the past and embracing the future...

"

It was the sunset,

the darkness followed her eye,

as mountains swallowed.

Rivers in-between,

tears of heartache spill through cracks,

she drowns with spirit.

Remains highlighted,

revelations were exposed;

it was time for change.

Ancient eye emerged,

 distant starlight overhead,

the dream she once wished.

Passions reignite,

she rediscovered herself,

and slept on a dream.

It was the sunrise,

shadows retreat from her eye,

a new day begins…

Rubbing her eyes into the sunlight, the excitement of building her dream lifted spirits, and she could smile again…

Lovely image and words. She dreams of Sunset and sunrise- darkness and light- despair and hope. Eloquent wordage and vivid imagery-"Ancient eye emerged"- 'Here comes the sun...."

Thank you Dawn, I'm flattered...Sorry about the eye thing, it was intentional. Thanks again!

Well whatever inspired this it was indeed creative. I lol tend to cringe at the use of eye rather than eyes perhaps because I like seeing pairs ..but it didn't matter at all because the imagery was beautiful. A tribute to your skill as a writer me thinks;)

I'm not sure where the inspiration came for this, I assume from some of the writing I've been reading lately...
