Poetic Wealth (Poem)

Poetic Wealth (Poem)

A Poem by Damien Davison
"

How to define wealth?

"
When I reach a thousand poems
I will write a thousand more
And pass the best down generations
To pack away and store

Will my words extend past death
Or when it ends, do they as well
I hope my poems find a home
In their minds and not a shelf

I know that they won't make me rich
How to define wealth
The knowledge that I know I've helped
Will help improve my health

I write about this for fun
And I reach deep to write about that
So I get a perfect perspective
On where my life is at

This is cool. For awhile I didn't think I could write anything but stories and books, but now I can write poems... I'm pretty sure most of them are pretty suckish though... Great poem. :)

I honestly think you have talent, and if you keep at it you can be a very great writer!

Thanks. :)
I write poems cause I can. Weather or not they suck is a matter of perspective. Is that the wrong Weather for weather? F**k i don't know. Anyway I consider the minute I spent reading this poem to have been a good minute so thank you for making at least one minute of my life not me thinking about sex.

Lovely write and a great reason to write. Love how the words flow and the opening lines particularly.
