Numb

Numb

A Poem by Megan
"

(Sometimes)

"

Sometimes
I wake up with my head underwater
Blurry vision,
Voices at the surface too far away
To distinguish from the hum
Of brain processes slowing down.

Thoughts
Swirl up into smoke
Fingers uncurl
S l  o   w    l     y
Against the forces of gravity,
And of pure will holding them in place.

Kill
The demons inside
Because they keep you from smelling
The flowers,
And tasting the feeling
Of your dreams burning to ashes.

Haven't done this in a while, not in the greatest place mentally right now. Don't mind if it doesn't make sense.

This is such a sad, but good write. We all battle demons and go through times where all we can see is black. This reminds me of those times and it's saddening and I'm so sorry you're not in the best place, but I'm here if you need to talk.
If this write is how you feel, then I hope you get to feeling better. Keep writing love, you're wonderful!
