Trancendancing

Trancendancing

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Trancendancing through this world;
As my heart becomes uncurled;
As my mind becomes unwhirled;
As my soul becomes unfurled.

When the dancing's from within,
Doesn't matter where you've been,
Or the flavor of your skin.
All you need is to begin.

If you want to end a life
Because you feel too much strife,
And your going for a knife,
Realize that thought is rife,

But so are the thoughts of peace;
People willing to release.
Feelings of hate soon will cease
And the love will soon increase.

Trancendancing through my climb;
Seven syllables that rhyme;
Letting rhythm be my prime,
And my message pass my time.

When the dancing can't be chanced,
'Cause you feel you're not advanced,
Let your spirit be entranced
By the passion that's enhanced.

By the spirit ALL around;
By the joy and by the sound
Of the message you expound,
And the love that you compound.

Trancendancing through my flight,
As my heart is shown what's right,
And my mind becomes unite
With my soul that is the light.

Nice and easy flow well balanced with tight rhymes and a meter too.
Also a word you made up, liked the effort. Well done. ☺

I have been writing since I knew how. Before that I would just draw pictures to tell a story. My true passion is poetic lyrics. That is mostly what I am inspired to write. I have been dabbling in othe.. more..
