Writers Fuel

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

White spaces saying fill-er-up.

The fuel I give is unleaded.

Clickety-clack, clickety-clack

The words are now embedded.

I write poems of love and truth.

Some are lyrics to a song,

On display for not just me,

The world can read along.

haha this is short and sweet..i think it displays your style..i can tell it is a poem by you..lol i feel like i tell you the same things in these reviews..but i cant help it..i love the rhyming, i love the flow of all of your poems..you have some type of signature embedded through the lines of each individual poem..you never make me tired of reading your work because you are so diverse..you dont just speak out on the same-o same-o topics its always something new..but even if it may be on the same topic you never repeat your thoughts its like you find a new way to describe whats goin on in your head..I love it..lol..I enjoyed the read...

I love it. I especially like the "unleaded" part. That was pretty graphite...er...I mean graphic. Great little piece here. :)

Simple, short and to the point. Rev up that typewriter and let the words fly!

Mejasha-

Short and sweet! That is the way that I often like my reading experiences. But, you don't seem to lose a thing by carefully choosing but a handful of words to express yourself.

"I write poems of love and truth."

Those are two thing that the world is seriously lacking. Oh, the trials and tribulations of the modern era. Life did not use to be this difficult.

"Clickety-clack, clickety-clack
The words are now embedded."

Great onomatopoeia! That first stanza really hums. I look forward to reading more of love and truth from you, camper!

Peace and love, love and truth,
Gabe

Creative writing is defined as 'writing that expresses the writer's thoughts and feelings in an imaginative, often unique, and poetic way and is guided more by the writer's need to express feelings and ideas, than by restrictive demands of factual and logical progression of expository writing.

So keep filling up those white spaces with similar creative examples, such as this one!
