The Winged Chameleon

The Winged Chameleon

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Truth is similar

to a winged chameleon,

fleeting in its disguise.

What you see as truth, may be only a mask,to camouflage and hide.

What you hear as truth, may be only a song, to hypnotize the mind.

What you know as truth,

may be revealed as false,

with the ever passing of time.
