My Father's Funeral

1st sonnet from High school

A Funeral was held today,
For my Father who passed away.
He died from an Arrow to the Heart,
And left the World with much to part.
I felt like my Heart had died this day,
And I am still here to stay.
My body has felt much worse,
My Heart inside its little Hearse.
It feels just like the losses in War,
Alas, that was just but four score.
It happened back in ages past,
That my Broken Heart had Died at last.
Now here I lay on my Death Bed,
And I in turn lay down My Head!

it's tragic and melancholy. it's a great poem, it flows well, it shows her sorrow clearly of losing her father, as she is dying of a broken heart.
