When I Danced

When I Danced

A Poem by Melissa Kester

On a warm starry night
Amidst the summer breeze
I took a deep breath
And put my heart on my sleeve
It was the middle of June
When I danced with the moon

On a foggy autumn morn'
When the leaves began to change
You gave me your heart
And those words, we exchanged
It was then that I sinned
And I danced with the wind

On a cold winter's eve
With presents to share
You gave me a ring
And a promise so rare
It was then that I glowed
As I danced with the snow

On a blossoming spring day
With life all anew
And Easter surprise
We'd soon no longer be two
New life had begun
When I danced with the sun

On a warm starry night
Among family and friends
We whispered our vows
And swore love without end
It was the middle of June
When we danced with the moon

My only comment concerns "blossoming".....one too many syllables for the musicality to be able to carry over (similar note with "soon", although this one is just passable). Other than that - wOw! 100% wOw! Well done!
