His Eyes

His Eyes

A Poem by Melissa Kester

The depths of an ocean from another world
Rampaging with the gale of a hurricane

Blue flames made from ice
That cannot be doused by rain

On the edge of an Everest cliff
Facing the purest and clearest snow

Floating in the vast emptiness
Gazing down at the world below

Worlds apart in galaxies unknown
There is a piece of me kept in wait

And in this silence I will find you
For this right here, is my eternal fate
