While I cried

While I cried

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

Farewell now I must

say goodbye

Smile for me

please don't cry

I wish that I didn't

have to leave

But if I stayed

I'd only grieve

For I once had

a love so dear

When we were together

there wasn't a tear

No fear, love not pain

always sunny, never rain

I saw nothing

but my love

Oblivious to everything

below and above

But now my love

found someone new

And walked away

into the blue

I found that I

just can't love now

I'll try to survive

I will somehow

And when my heart recovers

when it stops its ache

There's a trip

that I will make

Back to the arms that held me

while I cried

This is sad indeed when love walks out to the arms of someone new~
and leaves you to cry the blues~ love the flow of this poem

Love does blind us and when someone leaves us and we didn't expect it because love blinded us so it is a harder recovery. I like the ending to this poem because it is positive showing that one can love again after being so hurt. Good write.
