Hatching and Flying

Hatching and Flying

A Poem by Meliss@k
"

In honor and memory of those we love and cherish; whom we've shared our lives with as we come and go. Take in every moment. Let your love show.

"
Birds come and go.
Where they go only some will know.
As for us, we watch them grow
And nurture each other as they learn to crow.
Eggs hatch and feathers shed, but their nest is always where they're lead.
Some take longer than others to hatch.
Some take longer than others to fly.
Some take longer than others to hunt.
Some take others along for a ride.
In the end
We watch fragile lives come and go every night,
While later we know that sometimes birds die,
And we have to remember the beauty of their lives.
As they flapped and pecked and sang in high pitch,
We remember their lives as they fluttered, here and there,
And also the colors of their interested stares.
Sometimes when one comes, another one goes,
But always remember how a bird's life floats.
