Atlas

Atlas

A Poem by Melody
"

New write. Can u read and tell me what you think please?

"
The worry of the world is
a heavy burden to shoulder,
it hangs dully over your head,
weighing down your torso,
drowning you in the tears
and terrors of catastrophe.

The modern curse of Atlas
delivered by your fate,
embraced by your destiny;
you stand upon a mountain,
but instead of the sky--
you hold the world.

This again is another amazing poem - reminds me of those periods of depression, this is how it feels. Wonderfully captured!

Thank you, again, so much! I really appreciate it! :)
I love the idea that no matter how high you climb, there is always an unbearable weight on your shoulders. Its something I think a lot can relate to.
