semper disolubilis

semper disolubilis

A Poem by Mockingbird

fated to roles
bestowed upon me
i fade into
the Background
of my own
Existence.

i become
the character
in another's Drama
just outside
the Limelight
supporting the lead
in swan song scenes.

the performance never ends
as encores keep me
on the Stage.

receding behind
the curtain
i am divested
of costumes
fumbling in
the darkness
to find
myself.
