BARREN GRAVEYARD

BARREN GRAVEYARD

A Poem by Mockingbird

this barren Graveyard
is redolent of the scent
of her blood
ever coursing
through His veins.

the Wolf Moon
summons the unholy union
from its Scepulchral slumber.

the hunger consumes
their phantom souls
as they wander
Unhallowed ground
in mortal trappings
searching for warmth
in each other's
cold flesh.

in the Twilight
of a setting moon
he finds
the One
awaiting to sate
the thirst
that binds them
in Eternal Damnation.

The picture really adds to the poem. It's written very well with a gothic tone and the last two words that are capitalized end it nicely. It really does tell a story and I wonder what the deeper meaning it has is.

Your piece is indeed so deep and thought provoking . If i guess it right the meaning of this piece is a forbidden love . I should say perhaps between Vampire and Lycans . The movie " Underworld " . Just using my imaginations to understand the meaning of this piece .

Sounds like zombie sex on hallows eve.. the rhythm is blunt in bone shaken cadence of something beneath the surface. .starting to rot from lack of exposure..great piece

eerie...but not just Halloween in its feel...

relationships get this cold...but we stay in them...seeking each other's warmth but instead absorbing each other's frozen hearts until they become too rigid to beat.

A great work up to Halloween. Let the macabre begin. :)
