QUARRY

QUARRY

A Poem by Mockingbird

beneath moonlit refraction
unclothed lay your quarry
illumined by skies so starry
evading certain capture.

pristine tableau espied
listless heart forbearing
her beauty, this moment despairing
spiriting away no longer tried.

assured ensnarement demurred
tumultuous desires persist
inviolate wonder, ceasing insists
fevered longings remain uncured.

pursuit of love never desists
your chase remains eternally pure.

I love the title and the start is amazing:) beneath moonlit refraction
unclothed lay your quarry
illumined by skies so starry
evading certain capture.

That is beautiful:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I like this one a lot, a bit of frustration pen'd here, killer third stanza.

yes, this is just damn good..

lots of great paradoxes and oxymorons to color the poem and give it such striking images.

the angst of pent up love can wreak havoc in an unrested mind. the longing of lovers not united. yearning in the night for one too far it seems. the last line suggests the infinity of young (or young at heart) love evermore.

you have such a unique and relevant voice. I believe I could discern your poetry from others without the pieces being signed. your pieces are always intriguing and this is certainly no less. thank you for sharing your work with us :)
