SNOWFLAKE

SNOWFLAKE

A Poem by Mockingbird

i sit on a snowflake

on a branch

in front of your house.

i watch as the rest join me

and listen to the silence

of this tree

as you drink your coffee

and look out the window

seeing the snow fall

but not me

a gentle wind carries me

across this pristine blanket

as the door opens

i land on your cheek

and feel your warmth

before i melt into you.
