Grandad..

Grandad..

A Poem by merit
"

This is after poetry club meet up, carried working on it when got back, based on an idea of a person and an item of clothing ( followed by reading someone else's work)

"
He wears an old hat
Pushed all the way back
Soviet cowboy-
Pushing 86 still knows where He's at
Old, dirty hat on He's head-
Head that went bald while he slept.

Still remembers the days of glory-
Then times were less boring
When He was young and bold-
You - can never get old
I - dont want to get old.

He met her on the street,
Both covered in January sleet
Back then She was glam-
He slowly turned her into a Nan
Together they've lived ever since
He is her prince, hated and loved
She- everything He's  adored
He's diamonds and gold,
Stories too many to get told-
Together they got old.

What a brief, romantic story. I like it that you have the need to upload minor details of your family tree, like writing about your grandad. Now some people may not care, but I would care to read anything, from A-Z.
