The Seasons of Nature

The Seasons of Nature

A Poem by Neeeks!

The morning sun is creeping along the horizon,

Grass is damp with dew,

Birds are chirping in the trees,

Gentle rains wash the cold away on the spot.

The sky, a baby blue, is filled with white clouds,

Lakes shimmer the reflection of the blazing sun,

Trees are filled with glossy green leaves,

Rays of the sun give every corner light.

The gray clouds are spread across the sky,

Trees are abandoned by the colored leaves,

Winds blow long and harsh,

Leaves are swept into piles for naught.

The air is crisp and hollow,

Tree branches are all bare but a layer of snow,

Windows are covered in frost,

Days are as dark as the blackest of night.

Cool and calm, hot and angry, windy and wild, cold and bitter,

All parts of Mother Natures single creation,

An everlasting cycle of opposites and similarities,

The greatest creation of life that will never go away.

I liked the transition of the seasons. You are very colorful with your descriptions! When you said "days are as dark as the blackest of night" it made me think of Alaska!

I am searching to find find spring.....unless it is tied with the first and last verses...I like the originality of this piece...
