Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by Metaphantom
"

The Ultimate question one must ask themselves even through the evolution of the journey or path they proceed to march.

"
Responsibilities, obligations, losing all my concentration
Got this little girl, weight of the world, without my patience
Nothing in my mind is vacant, thoughts conjure every moment
And slide on the duality, malevolently foment
Riots in this cerebellum, sing like a malignant choir
I got more flaws and faults then the ring of fire
Earthquakes in my chest say what you got to say to me
I can face it disgracefully blame it on my A.D.D.
My keys are in my hand, but, I think I misplaced my keys
Wait, holy s**t just like that, taken to the place of being
Lost and alone, confused and lazy, useless and crazy
I have finally become the very people that have raised me
I never wanted this, thought it was a haunted myth
But I'm just like my parents, and I ain't even talking s**t
Damn I wanted to be, just me, myself, my own creation
When I'm looking in the mirror I don't even see an acquaintance...

.....who am I?

Author's Note

Metaphantom
It is a lyric for a song, so please ignore the way it is written, each comma is a pause, each dash is a bar.

It's ironic … we try to run away and run right back into ourselves. We are an amalgamation of those from whence we came; and no matter how hard we try to avoid it, we can't. As we get older, they stare at us from the mirror, looking out at us from the center of our eyes. All of a sudden, you smile and see someone else's smile in you. We all come from something and that something is ever a part of us … a raindrop in a river … a cloud in the sky … a leaf blowing in the wind.
