Love is like a flower

 

 

A seed in the ground; potential planted

Nutrients in the soil; fulfillment granted

Rain falling from the sky; liquid hope

Sunlight shining from above; helps it cope

 

 

The seed sprouts a stem; high expectations

The stem grows leaves; we find relations

The leaves develop veins; deeper meanings

The veins connect each side; sharing feelings

 

 

Then the bulb finally blooms; spreading wide

The beauty unfolds; emotions rising like high tide

The petals dyed with color; those beautiful hues

They layer upon one another; eachother they won't lose

 

 

Silently rumbling in the distance

A storm of fear destroying existence

It may come and wash the flower away

But if it lives it will grow taller another day

 

 

Eventually the storm will pass

Floating away its black mass

Together the sun, soil, and rain

Will bring this beautiful flower back again

 

 

More powerful and resilient than before

There are still things left to explore

As the flower regrows its petals and leaves

I realize there is nothing else I could need

 

 

I can't imagine life without it

I swear my feelings are true

Love is like a flower

This flower I give to you.

And how the storms express the bad times.

The last stanza is so sweet.
