Summer Day

Though the sun is in the sky,
it dosen't warm these eyes.
Life hold too many surprises
on a winter's summer day.

This day is very warm.
Inside it's very cold.
Suddenly, I feel so old,
on a winter's summer day.

I sit in a field of green.
A blot on dreary grey.
I wish it would fade away
on a winter's summer day.

Deal me another hand
that I will understand.
Suddenly, I'm less a man
on a winter's summer day.

Many years have gone by
in the passage of this week.
I'm too young to be old
on a winter's summer day.
