Music dances off my finger tips

A sweet song of low, joyful melodies

Dripping from keys of

Ebony and Ivory

 

Close my eyes, and take it in

A small smile plays at my lips

How is that I,

I lowly little girl

Can bring forth such beauty

Truly, it is a blessing

 

Suck in a deep breath

And let it all escape in my alto voice

Feeling safe and strong

Beautiful and calm

Alone, yet known

How can I desribe the passion

That consumes me in a fervent flame

Music is a way of life

Not just a simple little game

Beautiful. I understand the importance of music as I am too a musician. You should actually find a way to turn this into song. (the best songs start as a poem and grow into a flaming melody)

You most certainly should. You seem to have that rare but very strong sense of lyric. And you obviously put a lot of soul into your work. Many great musical artists (such as Ed Sheeran whom I absolutely love) have the ability to take their feelings and just put it into music WITHOUT making into one of those songs that you hear on the radio. You seem to have the ability to put meaning into every single line. You should be proud of that.

Music is very important to me too. I enjoy playing the piano and it's a soothing pastime to me. I'm attempting to compose my own piano music...it's tough but therapeutic. And I love to dance my own funky moves to music. This poem is lilting, beautiful, and inspiring, friend. Keep writing. I'm enjoying reading your stuff so far.
