For a Time, We Lov'd

For a time, I knew love

And it did knowest me.

We created mountains high

And tamed both land and sea.

 

We sailed ever higher

Reaching for stars unknown

Til the day we parted

And i was left alone.

 

Now dreams are all i have

For memories were laid to rest.

Love was sent to trial

And failed the ultiment test.

 

Although you spurn'd true happiness

This upon time i Prov'd.

Although part of me has died

For a time, we lov'd
