Fire Sky

Fire Sky

A Poem by Heart Of A Wolf
"

A woman to her husband in his final years.

"

The sky's blazing rays of firery ember,

Creeping behind october's browning trees.

I watch you staring towards Heaven,

Wondering what it is you see.

The sun seeks ever lower,

Looking for rest with the dying day.

Not much longer winter will come

And you will silently go away.

Your blue eyes look a little grayer,

Not quiet as vibrant as they used to be.

I try not the think of the future,

But the end is all i see.

Nature looks so alive and free

But soon the bleakness will come.

Then you will slowly fade away

As tonight, so will the sun.

good write my friend.
This takes on that sad but true fact of life. People die, the sun goes down today but renews (is reborn everyday). Nature is beautiful & you wish you had your someone to share it with forever. You wrote this so simple but so strait forward with meaning--almost Frost like. I like how it turned out nature, person, person, nature.
