Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by Midnight's Mistress

Who am I?

I am Me, am I not?

I do not know anymore.

I take from him, I take from her.

Borrowing, but never giving back.

Becoming pieces of you, never I.

My music, picked by my friends.

My anime, advised by Otaku's.

My style, supervised by my Mom.

My life, governed by all.

Who am I?

Nothing but a Puppet.

Strings all over me tightly,

Silver as moonlight.

Everyone taking turns as Puppet Master.

Whether they realize it or not.

My emotions aren't mine to control.

My thoughts aren't mine to think in peace.

My words aren't mine to say freely.

My life isn't mine to set in stone.

Who am I?

I wish I remembered.

The time where I didn't fear friends.

The moments where I laughed without care.

I miss the times where strings were gone,

And I could move and speak on my own.
