Random People

Random People

A Poem by Mifa
"

"For you are your own moment; your own time"

"

This is a simple advice to those who listen

Never, ever look down on another person,

unless you’re reaching down for a fist bump.

Be kind when it matters the least;

Cause it is in such moments that kindness is truly a gift.

Try to be humble; do not force it.

Your pride is yours alone; be proud of it.

Now...learn to be humble by trying.

Take pride in your pride, but never flaunt it.

Cry, cry, cry your hearts out in the dark.

Curse at the winds, flare up in seething despair.

Never, ever hide the sadness that lurks within you,

Let it spill onto the streets,

Let its caked engravings form the tarmac you feet strut upon.

Be yourself no matter what; love life.

You can only be you; one moment; one time.

Now...love yourself no matter what; be life.

For you are your own moment; your own time.

Thanks for the kind words Ash.
This is so honest and true. Kindness can save a person's life; humbleness can retain relations, and so forth. If everyone could adopt these characteristics, the world would probably be a bit better... But, not completely. Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks for your kind words, and the review.
This is essentially my way of looking at life. We do not have the time to judge others, we just have our own lives, and judge not even that life we have for ourselves.

I found one typo, but who cares. Good job.

I think, I'm sorry for sounding bitchy. You are right. We need to be humble, and I have not done a very good job of it. I did not look down upon you, I guess I'm just sick of the same useless conversations floating around my head. My apologies, dear friend.

Lol. You don't have to apologize. The first two stanzas were for effect. Not in any reference to you.. read more
