In My Wellspring

In My Wellspring

A Poem by Millionth Muse

Sheets of paper,

characters in black ink,

words, lines, perceptions

scored indelibly as if

sketched in concrete

I visualize my mind

on parchment, shredded

and pieced back together

like shadows pretending

to be tangible shapes

These pages force me to

exhaustion, whittle me

down to a sliver of myself

and yet quelling the deluge

is categorically impossible

Raindrops shower rooftops,

and somewhere a dog howls

blind beneath the swollen moon,

but I live here in my wellspring

unable to swim to the surface

Darker emotional context in this piece, but again, your flow is so natural. Lovely command of language--free and wonderful. Thank you for a really satisfying read.

This is an overwhelmingly beautiful piece, deeply emotional and gripping. You paint a picture of such a dark place... Powerful...

I love you man....I mean your poetry, don't want to sound like a writers cafe pervert. Its a struggle sometimes, and this poem did a great job of describing the frustration that creating can be sometimes. Your writing is emotionally relevant, vividly descriptive, and above all, well written. Hard to find all of that coming together as well as it does for you. Super Duper Nice!

So much emotion...in this piece you have created..
Lot's of passion.. and magical stream.
Like strolling in the park.. and feeling making dreams come true..
Sweet and loving.

very well written though leaving me a bit puzzled to the meaning my interpretation has to do with you as a writer and your perceptions of writing though I think it may have a deeper meaning. very nicely written

Getting lost within your pain can kill the spirit forever or make you reborn stronger then before... very deep in the emotions department.
