Morning routine

Morning routine

A Story by Minim

He felt it like never before. Was it crazy or simply uncontrollable he asked himself after the thought passed through his mind? Maybe this time will be different? Trying to trick himself into believing that what he is, was and will be could be only a recollection, an uncomfortable flashback that comes from time to time. Standing up not too slowly only as fast as a person who is not too voracious. Looking through the window seeking something he may have missed during this undefined time he calls part of his life. Visiting every angle of his room, processing the puzzle. What first, what comes next? So many questions arising only by observing, but is he only observing? Stops, glancing at the clock, overthinking everything but still taking a break to read his notes. Still warm since his late marathon of planned productivity. Trying to read but not fully, letting himself drown in the ocean of thoughts which only seemingly could have gotten locked in the unnamed quiet room he has never discovered before. Realizing the only way to go is letting them free, but fearing of the chaos which occurs when he does it.
