What Once Was Eden

What Once Was Eden

A Poem by 水希

The garden is overgrown now
The fruit once ripe and sweet
Has now fallen, rotted, and reeks
The fountain still flows
But the water is now green
The path we once walked
Is mossy and cracked
The vines are wild and crazy
Choking the roots of flowers
Their petals are falling from wilted stems
The garden once green,and fruitful
Once colorful, heavenly and lively
Is now brown, earthly, and dead

Lovely work. So much symbolism and imagery. It is so pleasing to the senses and reads well.

Hello, I guess. I'm 19. I write mostly dark and deep poetry, but I'm not averse to other genres. Reviews are cool. I take criticism well. I don't mind talking to others, so that's okay too. I like art.. more..
