Raven Haired Girl

Raven Haired Girl

A Poem by Maddi

See that girl standing over there?

With the flowing gown of Midnight

Blue, and skin as pale as snow in moonlight.

In the chilly, winter breeze,

Her cheeks are flushed with seeming ease.

See that girl standing over there?

With a contagious laugh and wonky smile,

A face lit up with celebration.

Her eyes are open, her heart is big

She is an ethereal rosebud.

See that girl standing over there?

Eyes like lakes of frozen mist.

A voice of angels singing

And out that voice comes,

Into he night air.

See that girl standing over there?

She's my girl with the raven hair.

Your description of the girl is so amazing! There is a great rhythm to the poem and the repetition of the line, "See that girl standing over there" adds a special touch. She is yours for sure, if you like her enough to write such a wonderful poem about her. Keep up the good work!

Love,
Vasilees
