Devil's Candy

Devil's Candy

A Poem by Mjay55

Her brown hair falls softly upon her rose colored checks.

His ten fingers are stretched and ready to do the job they came to do.

Her smile is bright just like her.

His eyes scan her like a clerk at the local supermarket.

Her feet move slowly toward the door.

His feet race quickly to hide in her shadow.

Panicked, Helpless, Unaware

Ready, Suspecting, Pathetic

Your contrast here is obvious, but, I think you can dig more into the detail. I feel as though you do start out with more specifics and over the course of the piece take away more and more. Maybe that is the intention? Hmm. Tough subject matter. I want more.
