Winter

Winter

A Poem by Ana B.

The velvet feeling of the snow - a perfect numbness

I stare in the mirror at the world's best actress.

Pale skin, large eyes....full of subtle lies

Maybe this winter will change and neutralize

All the vices of this fake grace...

Why do his words goad my self-distaste?

I hate it when someone has this power over me...

Let the snow wash away this bad version and set me free

If you leave....will I finally be cured?

Will the arms of my affinity become inured?

Drifting apart from the rest of the rest...

This door is forever closing of in my chest

Way to similar with my life going fever

And my heart -helplessly trying to endeavor

But I can't reach peace...just cumulated sinter

Only prolonging my sufferings till the next winter.

you stretched my vocabulary ...nicely... it took effort and knowledge.

I liked the tones and rhythm of this one being read aloud. But one line "Why does his words goaded my self distaste?" - just seems "off", does and goaded together?
