Inflorescence

Inflorescence

A Poem by Ana B.

This language is older than our kind

It speaks of truth,

That won’t be learnt by a heart that is blind

In the winter of our youth…

No river and lace can stop it

Once it’s revealed…

Surfacing bit with bit

All that was concealed.

I wish I knew when I’m ready

For love to bloom for me…

Or maybe it’s a garden there, already

With no windows for anyone to see…

But I will never believe

That I am doomed…

Even mites refuse to leave

A heart that has already bloomed…

The primal voice that only hearts and souls can hear and truly understand, Ana.
When least expected, the call of your own will be heard and answered, and the sweetness will become so overwhelming you'll have to partake a taste, and that will begin love's unfathomably enthralling journey.
There is nothing akin to being in-love, and once having drank of its euphoric wine ~ the addiction becomes immeasurably unshakeable from the core … it is eagerly sought, warmly and hungrily embraced evermore.

Incomparably beautiful and irresistible in word and presentation, this composition virtually dances up and off the page, gifting the reader's heart and soul the warmest of smiles … thank you, Ana! ⁓ Richard

You betcha!
The Winter of youth leads to the Spring of adulthood - all is not lost it would seem and hope abounds throughout this poem about the mystery of love.
The thing about love is you don't get to know when its coming only when it has arrived which can be very disheartening.

Mites..? unique !! Bravo !

I love the suggestively playful image - I know... its just me again, isn't it... I'll get my coat... ;p

Love is the ultimate truth
A heart that loves
Is in truth and is truth

Truth bears it all
Goes the distance and is brave
There is no stopping it

Lovely poem ...... so easy for you to write of love
As you are love in so many ways
your words are just a depiction of that soul
