A Poem by Ana B.

A tender night

For the broken heart he gave me.

Closeness falsified.

Does the pertinence have any guarantee?

In this poly fauna of laymen

I bent and plucked

The Stygian wings of the raven

That has had this world so heavily drugged

With the stench of despair.

Imbibed till up in the exosphere

Yet the world painfully unaware

But adoring and sincere

Over the gluttony’s  reverie

You called heartbreak as his gift to you...you hav perfectly described how gigantic ,this feeling can get!Though our words make it sound like some feeling that would pass away soon!..In love with the use of words!...kudos!

Thank you very much Sam :)
I'm terrible at reviews, sorry. I really enjoyed reading this. The words that you chose really made the piece something special. Amazing work!

Anytime, and never apologize for being yourself :)
I don't normally go into this dark a write without adequate protection Ana. I'm talking a million candle torch a pair of waders and a couple of canaries in a little cage but I'm going in - for you Ana !! for a friend Ana !!
:))

Despair would make a nasty tasting cocktail indeed and probably be enough to put one off imbibing for good and go teetotal but then again, you may as well get into that boat and pay the ferryman nice and early if that's the case.
Damn this is dark - s**t - the canaries have both expired - cue Monty Python's dead parrot sketch while we go to a commercial break.

You write scapes and hot-tubs for the reader to delve and immerse in dear Ana.
First Wow! in ages... Wow!
:)

Amazing use of words dear Ana. I liked the feel of the ancient writers in the words. Making the situation come alive in vision to the reader. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

You are welcome Ana.
I was lost in the beauty of the imagination your words created..

"in this poly fauna of laymen
I bent and plucked
The Stygian wings of the raven
That has had this world so heavily drugged"

I felt the darkness and despair in this one....
Interesting word choices!

Thank you for this MP :)
This reads like you describe, a daydream. Lucid placement of metaphors and complex meanings of thought. If you're going to travel to the very edge of Earths atmosphere, might as well do it along the crafted wings from feathers of a raven.

I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
