Omnipresence

Omnipresence

A Poem by Ana B.

I wish I knew how to savor

This eternal odyssey of mind.

That nictitating , addictive flavor

Left the recesses of my heart entwined…

And on my way to awe

I got lost in the beauty…

Unknowingly following the law

That lights up the universe so smoothly;

That the ageless watchers of the storm

Have indolently inhaled,

Helping ‘’the unthinkable’’ gain a form

And ‘’the unknown’’ to be unveiled.

Will that silky glimpse of truth

Teach how to disappear completely?

Felicitari.

You taught me a new word... "Nictitating "... Haha, this was an elegant write, from word choice to the mythical pressure felt... It almost felt like watching a storm roll in, reading this... Smoothly penned....

haha, thank you Silente :)
I wish I knew too...

So many great phrases in this write. About those last lines I would say it depends if one really wants to. You can be there and yet not be, I guess.
Beautifully penned, Ana.

well of course you must have ;P ;)
Aloha Ana, you write mesmerizing words. I feel a bit thick to be honest as meaning sometimes escapes me. What I think is that there are sometimes several paths to a destination (happiness & the truth) and those paths are a different experience and depending where you're coming from the truth can be a bit foggy.
I love the words "on my way to awe" that is a lovely thing to realize. Omnipresence; such a fitting title! Mahalo for your lovely poetry Ana. Izzy

I miss all your work
I am not sure if i got the message
but i feel this is a piece about truth
appearing and disappearing
as it reaches its correct place to rest within a good mind
the gift of seeing the truth is not endowed on all of us equally .... you have to be free of judgement and bias

well done
very soulful

Thank you very much :)
This is pretty damn awesome from the title onwards. The first lines set the tone perfectly with such a thought provoking image as tasting the journey we take and the decisions that make them so. They also make me think that that is what memory is for, to play those flavours back to us once the journey has been made. Would the journey have changed if we had stopped to follow the flavours at the time? Who knows, but I do like the flavour theme, as so many of our memories are attached to other senses.
On the way to awe is such a beautiful, yet simple statement, like it is said as an afterthought, while discussing something else, yet you must have known you were on your way there, right? :)
The ending is beautiful and it reminds me of the word ephemera, which is used to mean inconsequential or not worthy, when my blind spot in the brain tells me that it should mean omnipresent, all encompassing....but that's just how my head works. :)
Love it.

Well, it's all about what you wrote....so well done :)
i hope this poet (you) will not disappear completely---your words are rich in content and visuals...

there are different paths to the truth and different paths to happiness...

we find ourselves wandering off the path, but then find our way back---and in the end, hopefully are able to answer some of the questions of life in general, and in our own lives.
