Mocking longing

Mocking longing

A Poem by Ana B.

Silent is the moonlight by my side,

While I’m writing down my sins.

She’s got an ancient voice  -  my pride

Yet can’t help going in for the last rinse

Because time is running dry.

Will we ever stop longing for wider suns…

With venomous words… so eager to petrify

Those hearts that were so pure once.

And I’m still looking for fissures

Somewhere in those sketches of fate,

Satiated of those love-wishers

Who excelled to imitate so great

What the architect of mind has hidden.

hidden for so long it could be forgotten it needs to be put back where it belongs.

This was very vivid to me, opening a longing in myself. I absolutely loved it.

I liked the video and the words honest and deep dear Ana. Life become less twisted with old age. I look back and see. I deserved what I got. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome dear Ana.
There are a gazillion love poems on this website, so I always want to rejoice when I find one (like yours) that is original sounding & imaginative. Your word choices are not typical, but refreshing. Your rhymes are sophisticated. Good analogies of wet & dry.
