Perfidy

Perfidy

A Poem by Ana B.

Life in its prime

To taste on the tip of my tongue

Need more salt and lime

while the storm is still young.

It’s quite shady

In my subatomic realm.

In the cherry moon’s gravy

I feel calm under its tide’s whelm

Infinitely judged by unqualified juries

And my Virtue - a continual stammerer;

And while Orestes is pursued by the Furies

dear Sadness - smile for the camera.

Hehehe. Thank you, dear girl.
That last stanza was perfectly summarized. I enjoyed the reference to the Furies and Orestes whom is associated with madness. The joys of Greek mythology. I would have said Erinyes rather than Furies but that's just me, lol.

A beautiful ending to a somber poem. Very well done, Ana!

Whoa! This is unusual! I'm not relating to everything right away, but after reading it a couple more times, I'm impressed by the thought-provoking nature of what this says. My favorite line: "Infinitely judged by unqualified juries" which goes well with the title (which I had to google -- I love learning new words). Nice word crafting my friend!

Thank you for the amazing words my dear :)
Orestes's issue was madness and purification - this piece is sanely relaxing! Read it over a few times and just makes me chill out - great effect! Lovely share ... :-)

haha, thank you very much Phill :)
It's a good one, really, with depth and sadness. Someone who's stronger from inside than her apparent state that she's in. She's fighting a battle that can't be won. The title of this poem suggests some more insight. A good read I must say :)

I like your insight. Thank you :)
I judge this to be alright... but I'm not really qualified. I dig the music a lot... it's a good fit.
