The Eyes In The Dark

The Eyes In The Dark

A Poem by PoeticFury
"

I wonder what it can be

"
The darkness a place where anything by light will fade.
Where whatever steps in never comes out the way it was made.
I swore I would never touch that door again.
Yet when I looked at it something drew me back in.
I walked inside not knowing in the dark something lies.
Yet nothing can be seen, but I do feel things that fly by.
I had no move to make then suddenly had relapse.
Took one step the floor collapse.
I landed hard this was another floor prehaps.
I started to feel around with the only sense I had touch.
I took some steps only a few.
Straight ahead I saw two eyes a lovely bright blue.
As I started to use them for a guide or find something to say.
They shut and went away...
Then I knew I was dead no spark no thoughts in my head.
In one last effort I walked across the level of that squeeky floor.
I couldn't do much more...
Droped to one knee agony in my core.
I had no plan till I felt around then something grabed my hand.
The blue eyes opened and off we ran.
It seemed that we turned in the direction of right.
Finally inside a hole where I landed on my face.
Picked up my head to see a blonde blue eye girl in the light.
She said I have watched you for years. It is fate that is why you have come back to face your fears.
Now let me be yours wipe your sweat empty your pores.
Let's share the others heart.. Cause to be honest I admit I am The Eyes In The Dark.
