A "Lost Boy" In The Mist

A "Lost Boy" In The Mist

A Poem by XxxModifyTheMassesxxX

Terror isn't found unless you really search.
(Like sharks in water, your "essence" is our thirst)
It walks among you on this same crusted surface.
(Fake smile, real tears formed me to be a menace)
I don't shine like a diamond, nor like a decrepit sapphire.
Actually rather bland, and dull in an all black attire.
I am the dark
The broken, and the damned.
Creature of the night, it's who I am.
The sun is nothing, but reflects my life.
Bright and warm for a period of time, sometimes hating the moment at its "hottest."
Fallen it'll all change, as it all sets, things cool, and it feels more honest.
"Fire" dies and the "waters' sequaciousness comes in play.
Feeding time, tonight the empty slay.
Killing off what's brought me to this state.
I am the dark
The broken, and the damned.
Creature of the night, it's who I am.
(Vampire)

Ya, as silly as it sounds my obsession for vampires extends more than watching The Lost Boys. I myself am the beast.

It's not a bad thing to be obsessed with vampires! I'm actually working on a vampire story lately and nearly done writing it :) I loved the first sentence if this piece and instantly thought of a bat. I originally thought it was written like song lyrics, but it told a nice, dark story. I liked the idea of being a creature of the night, as I am quite nocturnal myself ;) I feel this could have some good potential to be turned into a song. Great write, your talent and words are quite charming to me. Keep up the good work!
