The Bigger Cage and the Small One

The Bigger Cage and the Small One

A Poem by Muhamad Farhany

There was a bird in his cage enslaved
Striving to break the cage bars
In vain he tries and tries
And every night before sleeping cries.

One day, the bird gets up door open
Not believing opens his eyes and closes
He jumps outside his jail
He tries to fly but falls.

His wings have been cut short
His liberty been censored
Leaving his small cage
To fall in a larger jail.

He back to his cage came
And made the door locked
Living in a smaller jail
Is better than in a larger frame.

Applauds to this beautiful piece of writing!
Even after tasting freedom, the bird knew instantly that it wasn't as she had thought...
I love the choice of words here and the overall framework!!
It's not easy to fit in a story in a poem and at the same time fix a rhyming!
Kudos to your work!
Keep writing and sharing
