A Poem by Amber Smith

A reprieve
All torment and anguish
Diminished; vanished
Gone away with a thank you

Baffled and unaware
Questioning the reality
Elated but fearful
How can this be in my presence?

Watching in the past
Completely ignorant
Shrouded in the bliss of it
Until I saw something tangible

A familiar soul
Oh, but so much more
Replaced the dread in my chest
With unbelievable joy

I would have,
Could have never fathomed
This was a possibility
And yet, here we are

I just enjoy writing. Don't care to much about the criticism. Writing should be about storytelling and the feeling it gives you as you write and create. more..
