NaPoWriMo 11 2017

It's funny, today is the

anniversary of the day

you asked me out and

I ran away through 

the library without 

answering -

Last year, the year before,

and even before that, today

was a rough one to get through,

but honestly, today wasn't 

all that bad. If it weren't for

a scheduled blog post I wrote,

like forever ago, I wouldn't have

even remembered any of this. 

There were no tears today,

not when I got out of work

and not when a customer 

with your name would have

otherwise made me scream

and I didn't feel the need to

flip through any old books,

I didn't look at pictures of 

our first or final days at all.

Funny, everyone told me, 

they would understand it if

I never got over you,

but I honestly think 

I have.
