LADIES OF THE NIGHT

LADIES OF THE NIGHT

A Poem by Rose of many colours
"

long lonely days,a hunger for romance ,in search for it.

"
I walked along the pathways of life.
And extended my sense of smell,
To the most becoming of fragrance:
Who can tell, what a mystery?
It saturated the atmosphere.

An epitome of feelings washed over my body,
uncontrollable feelings.
Feelings of want and need - it climaxed to seducing heights;
 To be held in fashion untold; and a gentle whisper;
Love me please.

My thoughts became tangled and wanted to be free,
But my heart's in denial; this moment not to cease.
Gently I was guided to the source- face to face,
Without remorse, and under the moonlit sky:
Stood ladies of the night.

Oh what! oh what! have you done.
A deception so deep.
I was searching for my lover.
But you came between, It's okay.
I shall still find him some day, some day.

You are welcome...:)
this poem speaks to me. it speaks of love, and betrayal . I don't know if this really something you went through or something you made up. but it speaks volumes and is well written

It is something that I struggle with, I hunger for romance and in search for it. I just use The plan.. read more
As I read this piece I get the feeling of sadness and perhaps a bit of remorse. I see the ink as a journey of one who went in search of the scent of descovery, to find the love and romantic tides that so called upon their soul. Yet, as they climbed through the forests and crossed the streams and passed the boulders of mountains... When they finally came to the scent... it was not a mate... but the embrace of the moonlight, under the comforting branches of a giant tree, whose scent had been what called to thee.

Wonderful word choices you've used within this weave of ink.

The only ? that I have is the first line of the last stanza.... "Oh what! oh what! have you done." Or "Oh what? Oh what have you done?" The latter would be my suggestion to make that line read a bit smoother. =)

Great Ink!
